Wool you be mine?

Hi everyone! I'm stopping by to share this adorable Valentine's Day card with you!

Some of you know I've been a part of the Jane's Doodles DT for a few years, and I still love Jane's artwork. I am one of Jane's patrons. But what's a patron? Jane posts her artwork on a website called Patreon. You can support her by becoming one of her patrons. You pay a small amount of money every month (there are a few different options in how much you want to pay), and in return you get A LOT of digital images, behind the scene photos and stories and so on. You really should check it out, because it really is your money's worth! I promise!!!

But now on to the card I made with one of the images you get as a patron. I used an image from a portrait series Jane made featuring some of her characters. These are the images I printed out:

Aren't they great? I had a hard time choosing one, so I will definitely be making more portrait cards!

I started with diecutting the background with a die from Jane's Doodles. I glued it on a white basecard, and glued the heart cut outs back in to the negative spaces. I just love this technique! It's so relaxing!

Next I put some foam tape behind my image, and I glued it on my card.

I heat embossed a sentiment from the Seamus clear stamp set from Jane's Doodles, and I also put some foam tape behind this.

I used a T-ruler to position the sentiment on my card before I glued it down.

I cut out some hearts out of light blue cardstock, using a tiny heart die from my stash. I wantend to create an ombre effect, so I partially coloured them with some blue Copic markers. The colours I used are B97, B93 and B91. I cut out 6 hearts, coloured 3 of them and glued the uncoloured ones behind the coloured ones to create some dimension.

And as a final step I glued the hearts in place. Sweet Seamus can finally ask a very important quenstion:

I hope you like the result! And don't forget: take a peek at Jane's Patreon page...

Big hugs!
