Springtime!

Hi everyone! Easter is looking around the corner, so we are creating spring cards! I created a flower shaped card out of craft cardstock. It's fun to create cards that aren't rectangles or squares.

I started with cutting the base shape out of craft cardstock.

I cut out the base shape a second time out of white oxide ink cardstock, and a third time out of a green pattern paper from the Work & Play 10 collection – Paper Heaven 2

I cut out the middle circle from the white one, and inked it with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink. I splattered it with water and some of the ink. Once dry, I glued it on my base shape.

I used the green scalloped circle to cut out 2 grass sections, and I cut of the scallops.

I glued one section on the flower shape, glued the gnome from the Gnome Spring Lambs/Sheep precoloured image set behind the front part of the grass, put some foam tape behind it and also glued it on the base shape.

I put foam tape behind the butterfly and glued it in place.

I used a sentiment from the Lily Bug Ladybird Messages set, because we don’t send Easter cards here in Belgium. I put foam tape behind it and glued it into place.

And now I have tot turn my flower shape into a card. I folded a piece of craft cardstock, creating a smal base card. I cut out a circle using a circle die from my stash, but I kept a piece of the fold. That way you get a base card shaped like a circle.

I glued this behind my flower shape, and now you’ve got a flower shaped card!

I hope you like the result and it will inspire you to create a different shaped card.

Have fun crafting!

Big hugs,

Tinne
